The game is played in a default 5v5 format akin to the one used in premier, Faceit or any big tournament. The map pool that is used during the tournament is the same one as the current competitive map pool as specified by Valve at the start of the competition (so if Train is added back into the map pool days before the tournament, Train will be part of the pool). If any changes to the map pool happen during the tournament, the map pool will stay as it was during the start of the competition.
Map banning happens in two ways depending on BO1’s or BO3’s:
In case of a draw after all 24 regulation rounds have been played, overtime will be played in best out of 6 mode (mp_maxrounds 6) and with $12,500 start money (mp_startmoney 12500). At the start of each overtime, teams will stay on the side from which they played the previous half - during half-time sides will be swapped. Teams will continue to play overtime until a winner has been found.
